(Baltimore, MD) Today, City Council President Carl Stokes is announcing he is postponing a large campaign rally scheduled for tonight at 5:30 pm at Terra Care in Charles Village out of an abundance of caution regarding the Coronavirus.

The campaign started to get calls from supporters urging the cancellation of the rally because of a lack of information about the virus.

I do not want to do anything that would put people at risk and we are postponing tonight’s event to alleviate the growing uncertainty and fear around the spread of the Coronavirus,” said Stokes.

I am encouraging the Mayor, the Health Commissioner and all city leaders to give Baltimore residents all the facts and offer guidance on what we can do to manage this disease. Campaigning is secondary to making sure everyone is safe,” added Stokes.
